Electricity Consumer Protection Guidelines Print E-mail

The Rwanda Utilities Regulatory Agency (RURA) is putting in place appropriate regulatory framework for better service delivery in the regulated sectors including among others the energy sector.

It is in this regard and in order to avail to all concerned stakeholders within the country with reliable, adequate and appropriate electricity services that RURA has drafted a document called Electricity Consumer Protection Guidelines. The main objective of these guidelines is to ensure that Customers of Electricity are provided with minimum required standards of service.

A validation workshop meeting on the Electricity Consumer Protection Guidelines is scheduled on the 25th February 2010 from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM in the conference room located on the 4th Floor at RURA Headquarters in the ex Fair House Building in Kiyovu.

Ideas and inputs are highly solicited for the improvement and ownership of the document by all partners.
