Consultation Meeting on the Transportation of Goods Regulations Print E-mail

The Rwanda Utilities Regulatory Agency (RURA) is empowered to put in place appropriate regulatory framework for all regulated sectors including but not limited to the registration, licensing, monitoring, enforcement and dispute resolution of all service providers involved in the regulated sectors.

It is in this framework that the Regulations on Transportation of Goods were developed. The main objectives of these regulations are to organize the sector, to protect operator’s investments, to protect consumers and to provide a sufficient and good quality of service in the Goods’ transport sub-sector. Consultation meetings on the Regulations on Transportation of Goods will take place on Tuesday 18th May 2010 from 8:00 AM (8h) to 2:00 PM (14h) at La Palisse Nyandungu in Kigali. Ideas and inputs are highly solicited for the improvement and ownership of the document by all partners.
